This could potentially be due to a few different reasons. One possibility is that there may be a temporary glitch or issue with the software update process on your iPhone. In some cases, simply restarting your iPhone can help resolve temporary glitches and allow the update to proceed normally. Try restarting your iPhone by powering it off and then back on again, and then check the Software Update section to see if the issue persists.

If restarting doesn't resolve the issue, you may want to try a few additional steps. Firstly, ensure that your iPhone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network and has sufficient battery life to complete the update. Sometimes, software updates require a Wi-Fi connection and a certain amount of battery power to proceed.

If the issue still persists, you could try resetting the network settings on your iPhone. This will reset all network-related settings, including Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN configurations. To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind that this will delete your saved Wi-Fi networks, so you'll need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network after resetting network settings.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be a more complex underlying problem with your iPhone's software or settings. In this case, you may want to consider contacting Official Apple Support for further assistance. They can provide more specialized troubleshooting and potentially offer a solution tailored to your specific situation. Additionally, visiting an Apple Store or authorized service provider could also be an option if you're unable to resolve the issue on your own.
