My MacBook Pro 16in take 8 hours to charge fully from 10%

There used to be two classes of USB-C Charge cables. The default is rated for up to 60 Watts.

Premium Charge cables are rated to 100 Watts.

There are now super-premium cables available, rated up to 240 Watts.

What cable you choose will make a Huge difference in how fast your MacBook Pro charges. Especially for a 16-in MacBook Pro, which can Fast Charge (at up to 140 Watts) using MagSafe or a super-premium USB-C cable.

It just looks like your charger is defective, as long as your Samsung charger has an amperage that is compatible with your mac battery you can continue to use it, or just buy one new.

So what is the issue? Use the cable that works.

Resetting the the System Management Controller Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support is your software option.

They used the same charger both times but a different cable. So, it appears it may be the cable that's defective.
