Forgotten iPad Pro passcode and unable to restore with incorrect date and time showing.
I need help with restoring my iPad Pro. I changed my passcode before I went on a trip during the winter, and forgot the passcode upon my return (stupid me). I've unfortunately not been able to restore my iPad Pro and need assistance. I'll list all troubleshooting I've performed below, which thus far has failed... Can someone offer an alternative way to troubleshoot the device?
Series of events:
First: Turned on iPad Pro. Incorrect date and time displayed.
- Unavailable messaged appeared.
- Went to the website displayed.
- Went to Find My and activated the restore once found. I was hoping it would connect to my network at home (have been living part time with my boyfriend.)
- Went home and iPad would not connect to my internet.
So then,
Second: Called into apple support. Technician walked me through steps at home to try and restore the iPad Pro.
- Up, down, and hold lock button (Failed)
- Connected to Mac Book Pro... It shows that the iPad is charging but will not connect as a 'Device' in finder or apple music/itunes.
Third: Went to the apple store hoping a technician could assist me.
- Technician performed the restore steps that the technician told me on the phone.
- Apple Tech connected to three mac books, tried several cables and still could not get the iPad Pro to connect.
- Apple Tech even wired the iPad to an ethernet source and still would not connect to the internet.
- Apple tech failed to resolve issue after performing serval troubleshooting steps. I had to have been there for over an hour.
Oddly, when the device show the 'Connect to Computer' symbol, it will not show the charging indication once turned back on. It this has to be shut on and off for a third time for it to show it being connected.
Fourth: I've tried several troubleshooting steps at home and all have been unsuccessful. I have attempted to many tried to get back into my ipad and now it will not allow me to try the passcode again.
My only other thought would be to have Verizon turn on the carrier services for my ipad and hope that the ipad will connect to the internet, which then would trigger the restore via Find My.
Please let me know if anyone can provide further tips on how to restore my iPad Pro Gen 2. I'm going crazy!
