Why is there such a huge space between "1Tab" and the "Bookmarks" area in Safari 17 Sidebar? Never had this in Monterey but for some reason Sonoma adds this in Safari. Hopefully there is a way to get rid of this useless TAB item completely!! All of my bookmarks are there but way too low to see or access them most of the time. See Screen Shot attached. THX!

Unfortunately, adjusting this spacing or removing the "Tabs" section entirely might not be directly possible through Safari's settings.

It is. Both adjusting the horizontal spacing and hiding the panel altogether are possible, as demonstrated by PRP and I respectively. I might suggest at least testing the results of the AI's output before feeding it to unwary users.
With Sidebar visible in Safari 17.4.1
The width of the Sidebar can be adjusted Bigger and Smaller ( to a certain degree)

The Vertical Line between the 2 apposing arrow can be dragged
Right now the Vertical line is at its' Minimum and can not be made smaller

Thanks... I only use sidebar view when organizing folders and bookmarks but this has gotten extremely annoying. I thought surely there was a setting I'm unaware of. I keep finding these sorts of issues. Not good!
