109gb iCloud storage but only have 64gb iPhone

My family sharing family member is using 109gb iCloud storage but only has a 64gb iPhone how is this possible and how do I fix it?

Assuming that family member has only that one device, they could be using the "Optimize iPhone Storage" option of iCloud Photos and achieving a high optimization ratio. If that is the issue, ask them to reduce their photo holdings.


You can ask your family member to check their phone for a detailed breakdown of how their iCloud storage is being used.
