Apple Air Pods Pro 2 STOLEN and new locations on Find my

Hello!

Someone took my AirPods Pro 2 yesterday, and today the location keeps updating.

Since the latest updates, AirPods Pro 2 can update their location when iPhone devices are nearby.

Is this function ONLY possible if I have reported them as lost on Find My? Or it is not necessary?

I HAVEN'T reported my AirPods as lost yet.

Does this mean that the person who has my AirPods has already connected to them? Otherwise, only the last location where I left them should be visible, right?
