Window image going UNDER screensaver on second monitor

I just upgraded to a new M1 iMac. Ive attached an extra monitor. I see them both in DISPLAYS. Some of my applications will display a window across both displays. HOWEVER, on some applications I can move the window to the second monitor, but when I let go of the mouse the window appears to go UNDER the screensaver, and I can't see it. This happens with Apple Mail, Safari, Photoshop, and calendar. It does NOT happen with Bridge or Contacts. (Those are all I've tested so far.)

When the image disappears under the screensaver the mouse will still move over to the second display and be visible.
