no option to gain google drive full photo access

The app asked the access and I selected for add photo only. But when I wanna change it to full access there is no such an option. Checked the internet and seems the only way to solve is to uninstall the app and reinstall.

The drive app normally has many offline downloaded documents and reinstallation means such an unnecessary (and stupid) pain.
