Laptop stolen and then found after being erased

I erased my MacBook Pro after it got stolen from my iPhone. It was then found by a local and they contacted me to collect it. Now the MacBook won’t turn on as is showing a flashing folder with a question mark. I think this means that. I followed the link and tried to restart it as advised however it doesn’t seem to work….

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 14.4

the flashing question mark says, "I could not find no bootable drives where you told me to look for one."

It appears you erased MacOS as well as your data, so you will need to re-install MacOS.
