Migration unlocking not working

Hi there, i migrated from one iMac to another. Migrated said it was complete on old Mac and I’m stuck on the newer Mac with password unlocking. It is accepting my login password. But after a few minutes it comes back to the same ‘Enter a password to unlock the disk “Macintosh HD” - how do I get passed this part?
