Downloaded audiobooks stuck in “buffering”

I recently updated my iPhone software and now downloaded audiobooks are stuck “buffering”. Autoplay videos on social media aren’t playing and podcasts are doing the same—just continue to “buffer.” I’ve tried it with and without WiFi. Please help. Halfway through a great book!

How can I fix audio cutting out on iPhone while streaming video? I keep having an issue with the audio cutting out briefly every few seconds when I’m streaming videos on my phone. I’ve tried restarting my phone multiple times and cleaning up my storage (now have >3GB free space) and it hasn’t fixed the problem. It’s happening on YouTube when streaming in different browsers, and on video streaming apps. This seems to happen after I take photos of books I’m reading to highlight text. I thought it was a storage issue as that’s what’s fixed it in the past, but I have lots of free space. My phone in general is slow. When I listen to podcasts it takes several seconds after hitting pause/play to get a response. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

When screen shuts off my Libby audible books stop playing..... While playing my audible books from the Libby library app it shuts off as soon as the screen is off. All the streaming programs shut off unless the screen is left on. This is really frustrating and eats up battery power quickly. I have a new iPhone 15....please fix this Apple 😤
