How to repair my Apple Watch when the Email is incorrect?

Is this about the Activation Lock on the Apple Watch, and you can not disable it before sending it in for repair, because it shows a different Apple ID or password?
The official Apple Support can only disable the Activation Lock, if you have proof of ownership.
