Am no expert in this area, yet your question surely deserves some response.


Seems we need to do our part, by keeping informed, keeping software up-to-date and by installing any compatible security updates asap. We can make use of the the protections Apple does provide, if we wish.


The newest compatible iOS version for iPhone SE (1st gen) is iOS 15.8.2 This update provides important bug fixes and is recommended for all users. (You can check if an update is waiting to be installed in Settings > General > Software updates.) More info: About iOS 15 Updates - Apple Support :
