Activation lock on a MacBook from someone who has passed

Recently I had an aunt pass away and my Uncle stumbled across her old Mac that she thought she lost. She ended up mid placing it while she was super sick and it was between the file cabinet and her old wooden desk. While lost she locked the device. Now that she’s passed no one knows her Apple ID or the previous password to the device. What would my next steps be for removing the activation lock?
