iMovie gives me two unreadable files when exporting

Whenever I try to export from iMovie it gives me two unreadable files. One file is a .mp4 with 0kb of data, the other doesn’t even have a file type (eg mymovie.mp4.sb-569b482a-Bviqwd). Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it? Thanks

Video Doesn't Export in iMovie I have a video in iMovie that I keep trying to export, but whenever I click the Share Button > Export File, an empty text and video file both appear in the directory I selected and the video is stuck exporting. A circle showing the progress of the export shows up in the top-right corner of iMovie, and doesn't change at all. I have tried restarting iMovie, my computer, and unplugging and plugging it in, but it still doesn't do anything different. I have enough storage space (~41 GB) and it does this with all my other projects. Can anyone help?

iMovie import won't import all files I'm creating first ever video on iMovie. I have 17 clips recorded with Quick time player - both movie recording and screen recording. I was able to add first 6 clips and while trying to add next two clips, nothing happens. I am able to add other clips. So the problem is that I can add some, but for some reason not all. Anyone else had the same problem? How did you solve it out? I did already try these: There is a lot free space on my computer, so that is not the problem (also I can add a 6 min clip but not 1-2 min clip) I found an old solution here in the community to delete preferences, did that also, but it did not help. (Tried even twice) Thanks! BR Maarit

That is normal. On export iMovie creates temporary files to assist it in rendering the movie. The temporary files will disappear shortly after the rendering is completed.

When the temporary files disappear they will be replaced by a movie icon that will play the full movie.
