MBP M3 Display does not detect MBP M1

I'm trying to connect / extend the display of a MacBook Pro M3 running Sonoma 14.4.1 to a MacBook Pro M1 running Monterey 12.6.1, but the M3 doesn't seem to detect the M1. I'm only able to Link the Keyboard and Mouse to the M1. However, the M1 running Monterey does detect the M3 and is able to extend the display to the M3 MBP. Are there some settings in Sonoma that I'm missing?
