Editing numbers file without download

Hi Community,

I have a Synology NAS which stores many numbers files in a shared folder with my family. Everyone would like to edit those files (like a shared Google Spreedsheet file), but before (first time) editing, my phone downloads the a version from my server and creates a local version.

If my family member has already an exported (local) version of that file, my latest changes will not be synced and there will be many local version on each phone, which cannot be synced nor with the phones neither with the NAS.

The only option to fix it is to “remove download” before opening the file (but I usually forget to do that) and re-open it (which downloads the lates version from the NAS).

Is there any option to fix it? Am I missing a setting?
