How to make my iPhone alert me when I misplace it?

Option 1: Enable “Hey Siri” on the iPhone, then call out “Hey Siri, find my iPhone”:

Could Apple be updated so I can go to another Apple device and send a command to the phone to make noise so I can find it?

This ability has been available for a number of years. Locate a device in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support

But, it would be quicker to simply call the "missing" phone from another phone, so you can hear it ringing.
