How do I restore deleted messages on iMac Sonoma 14.4.1?

2 - enter Time Machine via the TM menu in the Menu bar

3 - go back in time to just before you deleted the emails

4 - go to the User/Library/Mail folder

5 - restore the Mail folder (you can keep both until you're satisfied you got what you needed).

I have both iCloud and Gmail accounts and this worked for me in testing.

Open messages, click on View and then pick recently deleted messages and see if they are there.

Are these text messages or email messages?

Did you delete them all at once or over a period of time?
