Requires a password from a different account to update some of my apps

When I try to update apps, a random selection of them ask me to provide a password and ‘sign in’, problem is the account it’s asking for a password from is not mine nor is it the account I have signed into the app-store; I can’t use certain apps due to the required updates, and I can’t update them because I don’t know what the password to this account is.
