Transferred from old iPad 6 generation to new iPad Generation 10, no sound with music library

Transferred data from 6 generation iPad to new iPad 10 generation, no sound from my music library on new iPad.

Music downloaded or synchronised from external sources are not transferred between devices. Music files must instead be downloaded again from the original sources, such as the iTunes Store - or from the iTunes Music Library of your PC/Mac computer.


The reason for this intentional limitation, deliberately imposed by Apple, is to protect Copyright. In the case of iPadOS/iOS, Digital Rights Management (DRM) prevents direct copying of copyright material between devices is inhibited. This is intended to prevent the creation of illegal copies of potentially copyright material.
