I have a 1 month free trial for an app (which is how Day One works). How do I use a promo code toward the annual subscription rate when it comes up? Do I cancel the free trial and start over (I don't want to do that - I'll lose my work so far). Thanks.

I'd ask the developers exactly how to apply any promo codes inside their app.
