App for identifying bird noises

Is their an App that can tell you what species of bird is singing by using your phone and recording their song?

Merlin Bird ID from Cornell is highly regarded. There are others. Putting "iPhone app for identifying bird calls" into your favorite search engine will bring up quite a few.

IdrisSeabright is 100% correct. Merlin Bird is the go to for all serious birders. I’m in Florida and all the birders use Merlin ID for bird songs/calls. Best part, it’s free.Thank you Cornell Lab!

Merlin Bird ID is outstanding. So is Audubon. And both are free.
