Your HP Envy 6455e is natively supported by Apple's AirPrint technology when networked either with Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. You will need to refer to HP's documentation about how to set up this device on your network. Airprint won't require any HP drivers or software, and will not work with a USB cable connected.

Once that is done, and the printer is powered, visit System Settings : Printers & Scanners panel. If there is already an entry for the 6455, then right-click on it and select Reset Printing System… That will offer to remove the entry which if normal for the next steps. If there is no entry then click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax…

A new panel will appear that hopefully will show that your device has been detected on the local network via Apple's Bonjour Discovery service. If that entry exists, click it to select and the Use selector will automatically configure the HP device for AirPrint. Then click Add and a new entry will appear for it in the Printers listing.
