I belong to a club where a member used his ApplePay account to pay for a charge on our club website. To his surprise, Apple tacked on a $10 Cash Advance Fee above and beyond what he was expecting to be paying to the club. We don’t know if this has happened to anyone else using ApplePay or exactly what conditions triggered this surcharge. Can anyone help explain?
Apple does not charge anything <extra> for using Apple Pay. The cost of using Apple Pay (approximately.0015%) is paid by the bank used as the payment method. Any additional fees were charge by the bank that issued card or the merchant.
