My iPhone is set to receive automatic updates and shows iOS 15.8.2. Now I’m getting errors from apps that they can’t run until I have iOS 16! Why don’t I have iOS 16 automatically and how do I get it to use my apps??

An unit on 15.8.2 isn't capable of 16 or above; for an iPhone SE, it's a first generation model.
