the Canon printer is connected to a HUB because the USB port is incompatible with the MacBook Pro

on this HUB. an external HD (Time Machine) works without problem without disconnection

the health card reader is connected to the Mac with the Apple USB adapter

I've had to disconnect and reconnect these devices several times a day for years (with several different MacOS)
