I Cannot manage large attachments in the Message app like I used to. The option is no longer available. I can delete all of the messages, but why would I want to do that? I just need to get rid of the attachments inside the messages, not the messages themselves. I did what I guess Apple wanted me to do and bought another 50G since I do not have the time to mess with it.
Not sure why deleting the attachment is no longer working for you. It still works the same for me by holding on the attachment, then selecting More to give the trash option. Only the attachment is deleted without having to delete the entire message.
It used to bring up all attachments. I did not have to sit there for hours going through each and every one of the conversations to find the attachments to delete. That is what is different now.
