I've used an outside site to get my IMEI, and another site to find the serial number of an old iPhone6 that I no longer own. Question, do IMEIs and/or serial numbers change when batteries are replaced? or when the phone is repaired? The serial number I have been given has not been accepted as valid on yet another third-party site. any help?

Sign into appleid.apple.com and check under Devices if your iPhone6 remains in the list of devices. The s/n and IMEI are shown if the device is still present.
