Lost 5 years of photos and videos from apple devices when syncing to iCloud

I had nearly 6000 photos and videos between 2019 and 2024 all disappear when I synced them to iCloud.

First I synced pics in my phone to iCloud and all the pictures disappeared. The weird thing is I get an email from apple a few hours later after all my pictures and videos synced which said I’ve used up 177/200 GB of my iCloud storage and that it’s nearly full but when I log into my iCloud there’s nothing.

I luckily saw that they were on my iPad but hadn’t been synced yet so I click sync and they disappear from there as well! What’s going on and how do I get my years of photos and memories back?
