Does Apple keep a record of permanently deleted photos, messages, etc.?

Apple say: Additionally, data from your device, such as your selected profile photo, contacts, calendars, photos, documents, health, activity, Safari tabs, and other app data, sent to Apple for storage and backup security on your behalf.

Nope! Most people complain that they do not keep the data long enough. If you quit using iCloud for 30 days, all of your data is wiped clean from Apple's servers. This data is gone for good and you will find many posts here wanted to know if they can get their data back and the answer is always no, because it is no longer saved.

Others lose photos because they inadvertently deleted it and expected Apple to keep a copy of it forever. They find out that after 30 days there photo is gone for good with no way to get it back. The same is true for all the other data you mentioned in your post. So be warned, if you permanently delete any data, it is gone and Apple does not keep it for you in case you want it back.

As long as you have an account with them, presumably so, at least until you delete something. Why do you ask?
