Just to double check, none of the shortcuts over at the right of the panel below, expecially the outlined one, are set to Left Shift? Could you send a screen shot of how your screen looks when the windows are shrunken?
Hi Tom
Thank you for trying. None of these options seem to work. When I press on the left Shift key, the window shrinks, and then I have to click the trackpad to bring the size back to normal. This is so confusing. I appreciate your effort.
If you have any other suggestions, I will be happy to try them. Remembering to use the right Shift key is exasperating...lol.
Hi TKS
I agree with you, but it is. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.
I added a message with more detail, but basically, the issue is that the screen shrinks when I press the left Shift key. I've tried everything but cannot figure it out.
It’s not a replacement keyboard, is it? Just occurs to me that the key mapping may differ. So the shift key may not actually generate the shift function.
eg: £ appears as a # on a US keyboard.
if so, it’s an case of selecting the correct keyboard on the Mac.

The Shift key should not shrink windows at all.
Does this happen in all apps, including Safari, Mail, messages, pages?
