Voicemail issue on iPhone says "the operation couldn’t be completed"

i need to change my voicemail for work but im unable to. Every time i try a button comes up after a minute of loading that says “the operation couldn’t be completed”. I dropped it in water last night and was wondering if that was the issue. Really looking for some help!
