download silverlight

Can anyone tell me why my ibook will not let me download silverlight? I am running Mac OS X 10.5.8 and I have intel core 2 duo. I have tried getting through safari and firefox3. I get all the way through the installation until it says "initializing disk" Then it tells me it failed. I did get a link to silverlight3 and when I started the process it told me I couldn't install on this computer.

Silverlight 2 Beta 1 for OS X only works if you have an Intel processor. There are no iBooks with an intel processor.

Thank you. When I read your reply I got to thinking, I know someone with a computer like mine that does have silverlight. So computer illiterate that I am I went on the internet and found out I do not have an ibook but a macbook. I feel very stupid right now for wasting your time. danska
