macOS includes applications called Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. Pages is a page layout application suitable for putting together newsletters and the like, although you can use it for word processing. Numbers is a spreadsheet. Keynote is a presentation application – possibly better than PowerPoint.
There is a Free and Open Source office suite called LibreOffice . It's free of charge (though the developers accept donations), and there is a version that runs on Macs.
If you want Microsoft Office 365 ("subscription") or Microsoft Office Home and Student, you'll have to buy one of those separately.
