M2 Air | can't find any Bluetooth devices after updating to Sonoma

I recently purchased a M2 Air. I was able to discover and pair with new Bluetooth devices.

Last week I updated to Sonoma and I'm unable to discover new bluetooth devices.

I tried all the available troubleshooting guides e.g :

Restarting the MacBook

Closing and opening the bluetooth

Run the kill bluetooth terminal command.

Same issue persists.

looking online i saw other people having the same issue as well...

MacBook Air, macOS 14.4

Have you tried to boot the Mac in the safe mode to see if the issues persist? Therefore you can rule out external software causing the issue. If the issue does not persist in safe mode you want to evaluate the software installed to your Mac.

Start up your Mac with Apple silicon in safe mode

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > Shut Down.
Wait for your Mac to shut down completely. A Mac is completely shut down when the screen is black and any lights (including in the Touch Bar) are off.
Press and hold the power button on your Mac until “Loading startup options” appears.
Select a volume.
Press and hold the Shift key, then click Continue in Safe Mode.
The computer restarts automatically. When the login window appears, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar.
