Unable to fix Google password loop on iPhone Contacts

recently started receiving notification to re-enter google account password linked to contacts. Tried to click on Re-Enter option but was not able to. When I thought of deleting and re-adding the google account now am not even able to select the Google option under contacts-Accounts- add new account section. Remaining all other options are available. Same thing happening with my IPhone 12 Pro Max as well as 7S
