Exporting data from Apple Health

I followed the directions to do this, and received an email yielding a folder titled "apple_health_export." It contains a folder titled " clinical-records" with 587 JSON files, which I learned can be opened as text—but were not useful. There were also 2 XML files: export_cda and export. Excel wouldn't open these. One error code is "File cannot be opened because: Line 2, Position 11. <!DOCTYPE HealthData [" TextEdit opened it, but again the data was not usable. Is there a way to have Health export something useful, or a way to read these files as anything other than a massive data dump? I'm just trying to list my blood pressure readings!
