Why is my Smart Playlist not showing Apple Music files?

I have 2 playlists: 1 for my local music files & a different one for my Apple Music albums. My objective is to have one Smart Playlist that combines my local music & my Apple Music playlists.

Using macOS Sonoma v14.4.1, I begin by creating a new Smart Playlist & set Playlist “is” to my Apple Music playlist name, but nothing comes up. I even downloaded my Apple Music files & still nothing shows up. Is this a bug?

When I enabled the Cloud Status is Apple Music it displays ~250 songs.

Hi,

Smart playlists which are linked to other playlists don’t work.

I suggest that you make a smart playlist that references iCloud status e.g. iCloud status is “Apple Music “.

I figured out that if I add each streamer album to my Library, my new Smart Playlist worked. It's not perfect, but it works!
