Don't pause after saying "Siri" and it won't respond with "ah huh". You do not need to wait for it to be activated and the phrase will be processed fine if you say it in one fluid sentence without pausing.

This is most noticeable for people who have used other Assistants that needed to pause after the activation phrase for it to recognize the command. With Siri, this pause is not needed.

Perhaps it’s you who is being rude by ignoring Siri’s capabilities. There is no need to pause after saying “Siri” or “Hey Siri”. Address Siri with a complete sentence: “Hey Siri, what’s today’s weather"

If you pause, Siri will react the same way a human friend would if you don’t complete a sentence. If you just said “Hey, Joe” and stopped, Joe might well respond the way Siri does when you pause: "Hey Joe…" “yeah?” or “Uh huh?”, or, depending on your relationship, perhaps something ruder.
