scrolling UP in Messages.

I cannot scroll up in Messages. Goes to the top of, like, two pages and then the circle of dashes revolves forever. I succeeded once tonight, and even then it wouldn't go beyond that point. The "go to system prefs and click "always" " thing doesn't work either, I was on "always" already. Can anyone help? I have Monterey installed but the problem existed before that, too. Thank you.

As soon as I launch Messages it displays the Messages window and then crashes with the perpetually spinning disc. Shift key showing weird behavior Hi, this just happened today: the shift key of my keyboard behaves in a funny way, but only in some programs: In Apple Mail, pressing the shift key results in the message list scrolling to the very bottom, without changing the selected email. In Messages, when composing a message the shift key just makes a beep, I can't type the uppercase letter. In all other programs that I tested the shift key behaved as expected (MS Word, TextEdit, Pages …)

Email Message Preview Window: Bottom Handle Stuck at the Bottom Well, I've done this before and remedied it by accident. The issue is that I used the bottom t-handle to expose more of the list of emails and... the preview of the last selected email disappeared with said handle now stuck at the bottom and previews cannot be seen. Period. I'm using Mojave 10.14.6 because it works for me. Here's a screen grab of the bottom of the window. When I hover, click and hold the dot at the bottom until t-handle appears, it will not budge not matter what I do. No resizing the window drastically (as mentioned in other posts)... nothing. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Brad
