white spots on macbook air m2 (2022) model - how much would it cost to get it repaired?

hey! i have the m2 macbook air and i have two white spots on the display screen of my laptop. i had this issue start 3 months into buying my. laptop which made no sense to me as it's quite new. i held it off for a year, but was wondering how much it'd take to repair this if anyone had similar issues? thanks!

Troubleshooting Backlight Issues on a MBA:

This may be a ghost image. So, try the following...


A. Links to Use:


B. Use an External Display:

Plug in an external monitor to your Mac, and see if you get thi issue. If not, then is is an issue with the Mac. If so, then is is an issue with the entire macOS itself. If all there are no USB-C ports, then use an adapter: Belkin USB-C to HDMI Adapter - Apple


C. Boot in Safe Mode: [Hold Down: shift key, upon boot], In Safe ModeLogin Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in to Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, and then boot up normally, attempting another update install.


D. Get this Diagnosed by Apple:

Apple might fix it free of charge, if found to be be faulty device. Set up a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. There, it will be looked at and you'll be provided with your options.

Is this Pixelation or Residue you are eReferring to here?


If Residue:


Cleaning This:


A. Start Here: How to Clean your AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and EarPods - Apple Support


B. Use a Cloth:

Using a microfibre cloth, gently rub it off.


C. Don't Use an Spray:

If you were to use cleaning items(i.e. Windex), then may do bodily harm to your ears. So, if done, then it's time for a new pair.
