Deleting Suggestions/Titles in the Calendar App

This is not a question per se but more a solution to something I know a lot of people asked before.

None of the questions I could find were properly answered, with a lot of people saying you have to turn it off in “Siri & Search”, which after playing around with the settings I found to be wrong.

When you type in a new event in calendar, it suggests a whole bunch of things you’ve entered before, some of it years old.

I’ve had an iPhone since 2010, so it’s always suggested things that were upsetting to me, like meet-ups with long dead relatives and friends, which is also what I’ve read in a lot of people’s questions.

What you have to do is go to ‘sync’ and turn off ‘all events’, it’s located on the first page when you open the calendar settings. I’ve turned it to ‘6 months’ and the second I went back to the calendar and typed in a test event, no suggestions came up again.

I know this is for asking questions but I thought I’d post a solution and I hope this helps some people!
