iCloud email hack 2024

I’ve received three different emails saying that my iCloud information has been compromised and hacked and shared on the Internet. Has the iCloud been hacked lately?

Spam. Ignore it.

If iCloud were hacked, it'd be front-page news ~everywhere, and Apple would posting info about what to do. Not via mail from what is probably some unrelated-to-Apple email address.

More than a few web services and websites have been breached however, and security attacks targeting password re-use have been endemic.

(Don't reuse any passwords. Enable two-factor authentication too, if not already enabled.)

If you want to see a list of services where your email addresses has been breached, visit:

and enter (just) your email address there.

I'm getting various well-done phishing mail lately, too.

Your particular spam is probably advertising an add-on security (VPN) app that badly solves a problem that really hasn't existed for a decade, but badly solves it in a way perfect for collecting your personally-identified network metadata.
