ipad code to access after factory reset does not work

Hi I have an ipad air that I did a factory reset as I was giving it to someone,now I fully charged it and now it is asking me for a code. I tried but it is not accepting my code as I must of forgotten it. How do I reset it as I have no access to ipad without code?
