Pearson OnVue System Test

I am using MacBook Pro M3 (Sonoma 14.4.1) and unable to use the OnVue app.

Issue:

Step 1: Click on Pearson VUE exe and enter the access code - Pass

Step 2: Test microphone, speakers, and webcam Test - Pass

Step 3: Download Exam Files - Pass

Step 4: Test network check - Pass

Step 5: Test Exam simulation - At this step, I don't see any error, its just keep loading without any error message

What all done from my end to fix issue:

Under settings ->Stage Manager->Off

Under settings ->Privacy and settings ->Input Monitoring ->Allowed OnVue App

Checked in different network to see if network is blocking -> In all the places (tested in 2 different places) same issue

Kept Edge as default browser (also tried with Safari and Chrome)

Moved OnVue app from download folder to application folder

What I observed as the same app which is working in other MAC is that I don't see lock icon beside OnVue app in my MAC whereas in other Mac's I am able to see lock icon so my assumption is software is unable to lock my system in result not able to proceed with the exam simulation test.

As usual OnVue support is not ready to help, they only have two answers: Change the laptop or give exam in person (center).

Please advise, if anyone have solution for this. I feel its software issue which is not compatible with macbook air M3.

When I use my iMac with M1 chip, everything works perfectly fine. No issues.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.4

Make sure you are not running any anti-virus apps, cleaning/optimizer apps, VPN software, or third party security software. All of these types of apps may be causing a problem. These types of apps are not needed on a Mac and usually cause more problems than they solve because they interfere with the normal operation of macOS. If you have any of these apps, then uninstall them by following the developers' instructions. It is entirely possible any one of these types of apps may not be compatible with the OnVue software.

Otherwise you need to follow @MrHoffman's advice.

If you are able to resolve the issue, then update this thread so that others will be able to have a chance at making OnVue work.
