Syncing New MacBook Air with iPhone 14 with Broken Lightening Connector

Hi All,

I have just bought a new MacBook Air M3, but I can't connect my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The lightening connector on my phone is damaged. I have to charge using a Mag Safe charger.

Is there anyway to sync my iPhone with my new laptop without using the cable? I think I can do it over WiFi, but I am struggling to get the iPhone to appear in the finder window. Am I unable to do this without connecting via cable first?
