How to Mirror iPhone to Chromecast with Sound? Can't hear anything

Hey everyone! I’m trying to figure out how to screen mirror iPhone to Chromecast, but I’m encountering an issue with the sound. When I mirror the screen, the video displays perfectly on my TV, but I can't hear any audio. I’m really keen on finding a solution that lets me mirror both visuals and sound seamlessly, especially since I want to share TikTok videos directly from my phone to my TV. I've tried a few methods but haven't had any luck so far. Has anyone here successfully managed this? Any tips or detailed guidance would be super appreciated! Many thanks.

Absolutely, mirroring your iPhone screen to Chromecast, especially when you're keen to share TikTok videos and need both video and audio, can be a bit tricky! Here are a couple of methods that have worked well for me:

1) For simplicity and reliability, I suggest using a wired connection. Just grab an HDMI adapter for your iPhone:

Plug the adapter into your iPhone.

Connect it to your TV with an HDMI cable.

Switch your TV input to HDMI.

This setup will mirror iPhone screen to Chromecast directly, sound and all. It’s straightforward and avoids any wireless issues. And what’s cool is that you don’t need an internet connection for this.

2) If you prefer staying wireless, try the DoCast app https://apps.apple.com/us/app/docast-cast-and-mirror-to-tv/id6446948344. It’s pretty handy for this stuff:

Download the app from the App Store on your iPhone.

Make sure your Chromecast is connected to your TV and both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Open DoCast, select your Chromecast, tap ‘Screen’, then ‘Start Mirroring’ and ‘Start Broadcast’

Make sure you’ve enabled audio mirroring in the app’s settings.

Both ways should let you get your TikTok videos up on the big screen with sound. Wired is super reliable, while DoCast keeps things wireless.

Hope this gets you streaming how you want!
