Shared document slow to sync with MacBook Pro

My wife started a letter in Pages on her iPad. She shared it with me for collaboration, and I opened it in Pages on my iPad. This morning I wanted to print the letter with my MacBook Pro, but the document does not appear anywhere—not in Finder > iCloud Drive > Pages ... can't find it anywhere. I restarted my laptop, but that didn't help. We're working on the same home Wi-Fi network; I use the same Apple ID on all my devices.

What should I look for? I can vouch that documents I create in Pages on any of my devices sync promptly across all my devices.
