How do I export .AVI files from iphoto '09? Just updated... uh-oh.

Hi. I have a brand new MacBook pro and I'm in the process of merging all prior iphoto libraries from my non-intel G4 and external hard drives.

I'm having to update all of my libraries to go through this process. However, I seem to have lost my .AVI movies in the process. They used to open quicktime in iphoto 6. Now they don't do anything.

Also, when I try to export them as "original" or "current" files, the finder tells me it is "UNABLE TO CREATE" whatever folder I"m trying to export the .AVI into.

It will allow me to export it as a JPG, but that's no fun.

Also, since I've updated the library, I can no longer open it in iphoto 6 and try exporting them that way.

Please help.

Thanks,
Jill

Hi Terence,

When I right click and choose "show file" the finder does open but it only shows the first level... it shows my harddrive icon and network icon and nothing else/no further menus, as it doesn't see the file.

I have been using iPhoto Library Manager to merge the libraries, but this problem is occurring pre-merge, post update from iPhoto 6.

Any suggestions from here?

Thanks for all your help,
Jill
